Today is Veterans Day, so let me start off by my October highlights recap by thanking every single one of you who served our country. We’re grateful for your sacrifices so that we can enjoy our freedom!
October was busy, busy, busy as we traveled for marketing projects and more client photo shoots in a single month than I ever have in my life. We only spent three nights away from home, but were probably on the road for 20 days. I don’t even want to know how many miles I put on my car this month!

So far, November has been even busier with conferences and back-to-back trips across state lines, and we have one BIG trip by plane coming up later this month. October highlights looked like this:
The Highlights
We went to Bowling Green, Kentucky. Of all the trips I’ve made to Kentucky in my life, I had somehow never gotten off the interstate in Bowling Green, which is insane as it’s just an hour north of Nashville. We had a blast exploring caves and driving Corvettes and soaking up the fall color over the span of three days.
We photographed the Webb Craft Show for the Town of Bell Buckle. Have you ever seen anything like this where 150,000 people descend on a town of 400 people? It’s such a fun event and was totally different being there to capture it as opposed to being festival-goers as we’ve been in the past.
We did a few whiskey shoots for our friends at George Dickel (dba Cascade Hollow Distilling Co.). If you ever come to Tennessee, this dreamy spot in Cascade Hollow needs to be on your itinerary!

I was on WKRN-Channel 2’s new daytime show Local on 2. You can watch my segment on fall travel ideas from Nashville below.
Our friends Mitch and Nicole came to visit from New York. For the second year in a row, they stopped over with their pups Beef and Django en route to Austin for the fall, and we had the best weekend with them!

I took the local Montessori’s school photos for the third year in a row. This is Charlotte’s third and final year at Montessori and Mac’s first, so I got to photograph both of them, in addition to the other 30-ish kids who attend the school. Truly so much fun!

I also did 15 family shoots in the month of October. There are some I really can’t wait to share, but won’t do until Christmas cards go out as I know a lot of the families plan to use the photos for their holiday greetings. But here are a couple I can share!

I repeat: How about them Vols? I know we didn’t have the best game last week, but I’m forever insanely proud of this scrappy team who is just so much fun to watch, and I’ll will be rooting for them right on through bowl games and hopefully CFP play-offs!
