Well, if you’re SVV and me, you get…your first baby! (Of the little white rat persuasion, that is.)

That’s right, in a twist of fate, the day we touched down from our honeymoon on Thursday, our first baby was born.

But hey, at least we did things in the proper order, am I right?

(And no, you’re not mistaken to think Katey is still a puppy herself. She was born this time last year: June 11, 2009. Mom was going to wait a few years before letting her procreate, but let’s just say, sometimes these things are unavoidable and nature takes its course. Hussy. Regardless, we’re back in Tennessee for two-and-a-half weeks now and will be bringing our little bundle of joy to California in mid-August. And her brother, too, as it looks like my niece and nephew are going to become parents, too!)
