Producing a Conference is the Hardest Thing I’ve Ever Done

Sorry for the unintentional hiatus, I’ve just been a wee bit busy putting on a 383-person conference with just a four-person team!

This weekend at KEEN Digital Summit was a surreal experience. In many ways, it felt like my wedding all over again: I was there, the photos prove it, but I don’t actually feel like I lived it; it was a total out-of-body experience. Sure, things went wrong—they always will—but I’d like to think that even more things went right, and it was a huge learning experience, every last bit of which we will apply to planning year two.

Luckily, while I didn’t have a lot of time to take snaps, so many kind friends social media’d the heck out of the conference, and I’m loving culling my favorites from the thousands (literally) of Twitter, Instagram, Vine and Facebook posts and seeing what all I missed. Official recap to come when I’ve had time to process all that went down, so for now, enjoy this iPhone montage of #KEEN2013.

Ha, nope. I’m off to a conference, then Microsoft in Seattle, then another conference, then Knoxville for a football game–all in the next eight days =) But I AM going to the Keys the week before Thanksgiving. I just have to make it till then!

You did an amaaaaaaaazing job! The conference was such a success (not that there was any doubt it would be). I’m honored to have been a part of the inaugural year!

I’m so thrilled you guys were a part of it! I’m still bummed I didn’t get to see more of you, but happy that I’ll hopefully see you in Knoxville in a week =)

Feeling the retrograde FOMO big time right now! Love the picture of you at SVV at the end. Proud of you, girl… and next year I’m going to be there!

It seems that you had a great weekend. The photos showed how tight and bonded you are with your friends at the conference.
