On Thursday, I awoke to a flurry of messages and cell phone pics from friends who had stumbled upon this in their monthly reading:
I’m not going to lie: While I’m so often the profiler, I was quite giddy to be the profilee for once. Not to mention, Marie Claire ties Glamour as my favorite women’s mag (they’re the only two non-travel publications worthy of my time anymore), so I couldn’t have been more thrilled for a small mention. On top of that, who better to grace the cover of the issue in which I appear than my Number One Girl Crush, Ms. Klum? I think this is merely an omen that one day we are destined to meet.
As I was well expecting by working in publishing myself, my answers were tweaked a bit (not to mention significantly pared down, as I chatted with the reporter via phone on three different occasions), but I was just happy she didn’t portray me as flippant or flighty. Chock this up to experience, and perhaps in my next attempt on the other side of the microphone, I won’t break out in a cold sweat, Mary Katherine Gallagher-style.

Ok, so even though it’s already on newsstands, I totally feel like you just gave me a sneak peek into this month’s (or rather next month’s) Marie Clarie.
Not sure if you watch Project Runway, but a month or so ago, the prize for one of the challenges was that the dress would be worn by Heidi Klum on the cover of Marie Claire.
So, I’ve basically been waiting MONTHS to see this and now that you’re on the inside? I totally have to buy it.
