…and madness ensued. Armed with copious amounts of Red Bull and other such libations…

…and an insanely fun Swedish nightlife guide-turned-drinking dictator, Henrik Tidefjärd, who is internationally known (no lie, read about him in the NY Times, Elle and more) and tsked tsked that 5am is simply too early to go in for the night…

…we painted Berlin red.

There were reunions of old friends (in Germany, nonetheless)…

..and the celebrating of new.

Lots of indulgent photo-taking…

…and even some dancing on tables.

The morning after was not so fun, but we made it back to the hotel just in time to shower and catch our 9am cab to the airport. Probably not the smartest thing to do—staying out until long after the sun is up—when you have 20+ hours of flying on tap, but when in Berlin…

And that, folks, is what really goes on during these work trips.

I knew it!
Haha, looks like you had a blast!
I would be highly disappointed in Berlin if there weren’t at least a little table dancing! Looks like fun
Fun!! Get ready to get your party on this Saturday! Just us, I think. Adrienne’s in Tahiti and Eddy’s being lame!
Heck yeah table dancing!
Hey Kristen, congrats on the engagement. Love hearing about all your travels!

Swanky airport!
So fun!
I LOVE this! Hope the plane ride provided you with all that missing sleep!
I applaud you girl, because the one thing I absolutely CANNOT do if fly when I’m hungover. I honestly think I’d rather donate an organ.
So this is what journalists do for a living.
Oh, my holy crap! That looks like a freakin’ amazing time! Seriously, you’re putting me and my 23 year old self to shame.
First getting hit by a car, then dancing on tables… Why do you get to have all of the fun?
hmmmm…i think traveling you would be pretty fun….next time u go on a club adventure, call me up! lol
Looks like a whole lot of fun. Can you believe that I have never tried a Red Bull?
Haha, I’m at work now (hospital), and unfortunately, I have to ‘mute’ my speakers down. But it looks like you were dancing to some…electronica music?
Hey K, what a dream you had about us in Russia! Now…if only that would translate into real life! Hahaha! When do I get to travel with you? I hope one day, we meet each other on the road. If ever you are in Toronto, I’d like to invite you over to our house. Oh wait, we’ve been going through a 22-month-long home reno–so, what home??!! Ok, maybe, I can take you around town whenever you’re in Toronto–something like my recent blog post…is that good for you?
Cheers,
Jen
The one and only time I went to Berlin? I stayed out all night too! And suffered the mother of all hangovers as a result. Ouch!
I know your job isn’t as fabulous as it looks blah blah blah. SO JEALOUS.
obviously, this is what we’re doing the next time you’re in NYC (for more than a connecting flight).
Hope you have time to stop by for an award I’m passing along to you.
Have fun in Orlando!
I think when you’re in Berlin, you are legally required to stay out all night. Otherwise they handcuff you to a bar or something, no?
Looks like a great time! I loved reading all your tweets from Berlin!
Very cool site.
Love what you’ve done here.
Congrats on the Bloggie Award!
